Understanding Your Purpose
Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read
“I say this because I know what I am planning for you, says the Lord. I have good plans for you, not to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future.”
It all starts with God and it’s not about you. The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment. You were born by His Purpose and for His Purpose.
God planned your purpose before your existence, without your input, “You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day recorded in your book” (Psalm 139:16 - LB), so you may get to choose many things, but you don’t get to choose your purpose.
Knowing your Purpose gives meaning to your life and indeed we are made to have a meaning. That’s why people try dubious methods, like astrology to discover it. When life has a meaning you can bear anything. Your Purpose simplifies your life, focuses, motivates and prepares you for Eternity (Romans 14:10, 12 – NLT).
The way you see your life shapes your life. In all things, you were put here to prepare for eternity and remember Life on Earth is a test. So, living on Purpose is the path of peace.
