Multiplied Prayer Power

“How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?”
We may be mighty in prayer alone, but we can be mightier with someone joining us. We read in the above verse that one can chase a thousand, but two can put ten thousand to flight. With someone agreeing with us in prayer, we can do ten times as much as we can do by ourselves.
A lot of people don’t need to be involved, it just takes two. Allow the Holy Spirit to help lead you. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26. The Greek translation of the last phrase of this verse reads, “With groanings which cannot be uttered in articulate speech.” Further to the prayer of agreement, know that there is what is known as “groanings” and praying in tongues. In connection with this, Paul said, “For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.” 1 Corinthians 14:4.
Put the prayer of agreement into practice. Then go ahead, and pray in the Spirit (in tongues). This kind of praying in the Spirit gets the job done when nothing else will. Remember that the Holy Spirit makes intercession through us to the Throne of Grace.
