The Relationship Between God and the Giver

“I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.”
A complete Christian, or a complete Christian Church, must be able to excel in the “Grace of Giving”. Paul had been speaking to the Corinthians about the generosity of the Macedonian Christians. Then he said, “Now I want to see if your love is really sincere, and I will find out by measuring what you give with what the Macedonian Christians gave. These Macedonians Christians gave with amazing generosity out of their poverty. They had proven their love.
Now Paul was telling the Corinthians, “The ball is in your court. How are you going to respond to this challenge to prove your Love for God?” Some people’s giving is so secret that nobody knows about it. I wonder if it is secret because they would be embarrassed if anybody did know. Paul told the Corinthians to practice their giving in front of everybody so that their commitment to the Lord may be seen. Our giving proves our love for God as well as for our believers. No matter your situation, begin to be faithful in the area of your finances. You must always look for opportunities to share in the Ministry through your finances. This is how you prove your love to God.
