Pastor Zubeda Sing, 18 March 2026, 37 min

Teaching series: Supernatural Manifestation

Sermon outline

Your imagination is the seat of your dreams: seated with Christ, a believer who aligns the imagination and the mouth with the Word can pull from heaven into manifestation on earth, as Babel, Jacob and Joseph each show.

Main text

  • Genesis 11:6
  • 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Opening

She opens in worship, asking the Holy Spirit to fix, restore and realign the church from the old into the new, and welcomes the new faces. Before the word she honours Pastor, her husband, for giving her his pulpit, for encouraging her to study for her BCom at 39 and on to her doctorate, and for being both father and husband to her when her own father could not accept that she had become a Christian. She explains that she had asked others to take up the imagination in this series, nobody took the bait, and the Lord gave it to her.

  1. Know your spirit identity

Most believers do not know who they are. She is not speaking of race or nationality but of the spirit: you are the righteousness of God in Christ, bought with a price and seated with Christ in heavenly places, so when you come to the Father He sees Jesus first. She leads a confession of that identity: a victor and not a victim, a new creation with power and dominion over your world.

“I'm a victor in Christ, not a victim. I do not entertain a victim mentality. That's a choice.”

    • Ephesians 2:6
    • 2 Corinthians 5:21
    • 1 Corinthians 6:20
    • Romans 6:14
    • 2 Corinthians 5:17
    • Job 22:28
    • 1 John 4:17
    • Proverbs 23:7
  2. The inward eventually represents itself on the outward

Good thoughts inside bring success outside, so if you see something negative on the outside, realign the inside. Listen to your own words, because what you believe in your heart determines what you speak. The moment you hear yourself complaining, finding fault or stirring strife, step back and realign yourself instead of blaming someone else. A thought held long enough becomes a stronghold, and any thought contrary to God's Word is disobedience.

Illustration: Blame is stale food: its expiry date is over and we have put up with its shelf life long enough.

“So if you're seeing something negative on the outward, we need to realign the inward.”

    • Hebrews 11:6
    • Galatians 2:20
    • Ephesians 4:23
    • Matthew 12:34
    • 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
    • 2 Corinthians 8:9
  3. Imagination is the seat of your dreams

Imagination is the faculty of forming images and concepts of things not present to the senses, the creative and resourceful part of the mind. The Word and faith give a God kind of imagination. Seated with Christ, you have dominion in two realms, so you can see your dreams in line with the Word and pull them from heaven into manifestation on earth, and bind what you do not want to see in your world.

Illustration: When the Lord takes you home, do not let the record books say your imagination should be donated because it was never used. It is more powerful than any computer that generates pictures. She says she never asks her husband how he is feeling, because she does not see him sick.

“Your thoughts control your future. Your imagination determines your destination.”

    • Romans 4:17
    • Hebrews 11:1
    • Matthew 18:18
    • 1 John 4:17
    • John 14:12
  4. At Babel, God said nothing they imagine will be impossible

The Lord gave her this passage through the audio Bible while she was riding on the beach in the morning. Before the flood every imagination of man's heart was only evil, and at Babel a unified people with one language set out to build a tower to the heavens, and God Himself said nothing they imagined would be impossible for them. If unity and imagination got God's attention for evil, imagine what happens when you align them with His purposes, at work with your team as well as in the church.

Illustration: Riding her bike with the audio Bible in her earphones, she sometimes stops in the middle of the road laughing in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, and people wonder whether she is mad.

“Imagine when you align your life with the word of God, when you align yourself with the purposes and the will of God, you'll get God's attention.”

    • Genesis 6:5-6
    • Romans 8:19
    • Genesis 11:3-6
  5. Jacob's rods: imagination changed the offspring

Jacob, the father of Joseph the great dreamer, was a dreamer too. When Laban secretly removed the speckled and spotted animals he had promised him, Jacob set peeled rods before the flocks at the watering troughs, and the wisdom of God taught him that what they saw at the time of conception would influence their offspring. What God tells you to do may not make sense to you, but you have the power to do it.

Illustration: Jacob tells Laban his household prospered because of him, and wants limitless rather than a percentage. She was jumping when she read a commentary explaining the striped rods.

“You have the power to drink water when there is a drought around you. You have the power to get a promotion when the company is closing down.”

    • Genesis 30:25-43
    • Isaiah 54:17
    • Psalm 23:5
  6. Realign your thinking and change the way you speak

Nobody else is stopping you; you are. Let your past be your past, because the old stories that stole your past are stealing your present and, through your words, your future. Create your world with your words and give the generations behind you a heritage to thank God for.

Illustration: Do not let your grandchildren say "my dumb grandpa"; let them thank God that their grandfather was a tither and a man of the Word.

“You have the power to change your future by your words.”

    • Mark 11:23
    • Matthew 12:34
    • Proverbs 18:21
  7. Joseph realigned his dream, and the dream was not just for him

Do not be stubborn about your dreams, because God sometimes changes them. Joseph went from the pit to Potiphar's house to prison, and each time realigned his dream, chose excellence and gained favour that blessed those around him, until he stood before Pharaoh. Learn to prioritise and step off the stage when it is time: the apostles kept to prayer and the Word and delegated the care of the widows. Learn to speak, to delegate and to work in teams.

Illustration: People who irritate you are placed in your path to sharpen your sword, not to impede your progress, so you become like an arrow in the hand of God.

“He never lost his dream, but he was ready to realign his dream.”

    • Genesis 37
    • Genesis 39-41
    • Acts 6:1-4

Putting it into practice

  • Listen to your own words, and when you hear complaining, fault-finding or strife, realign yourself instead of blaming
  • Use your imagination to see your dreams in line with the Word, and bind what you do not want in your world
  • Let your past be your past and stop telling the old stories
  • Be a person of excellence wherever you are placed, because favour falls on those around you too
  • Prioritise your calling, delegate, and learn to work in a team

Closing

Running out of time, she challenges the church to realign their thinking and change the way they speak, then closes with Joseph's dream carrying a whole nation and the apostles delegating in Acts 6, and has the church stand.

Declarations to say aloud

  • I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am righteousness conscious. I do not have a consciousness of sin. Sin does not have dominion over me.
  • I'm a victor in Christ, not a victim. I do not entertain a victim mentality. I refuse to embrace any evidence that I am a victim.
  • Jesus Christ died for my sin, and now I am no longer a sinner. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places.
  • I have power and dominion over my world. I declare a thing and it is established. As Jesus is, so am I in this world.
  • I choose to think good thoughts, because my inward success and good thoughts is what brings about my external success.
  • I refuse the spirit of fear because God has given me a measure of faith, and each and every day my faith is growing from weak faith to strong faith.
  • I put on the mind of Christ by choice. My mind is renewed day by day by the Word that I allow entrance into my life. I am washed by the Word. Jesus is my wisdom.
  • What I believe with my heart automatically determines what I speak. So I only speak what God says about me.

Worth remembering

  • “So if you're seeing something negative on the outward, we need to realign the inward.”
  • “Your thoughts control your future. Your imagination determines your destination.”
  • “If you think a thought long enough, it becomes a stronghold.”
  • “You know who's stopping you? Yourself.”
  • “He never lost his dream, but he was ready to realign his dream.”
