Fruitful Imagination

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:”
2 Chron 29v18

Our imagination is fruitful when we keep our dreams and thoughts on the promises of God for us in this life. Abraham was called of God and he was obedient to the call of God on his life, so much so, that God called him a friend of God. He heard God call him “father of many nations” yet he had no son. He continued walking and his imagination saw the promise of God manifest this promise of many children and generations. His kind of faith influenced his son Isaac, who went on to have two sons and from the loins of Jacob came the 12 tribes of Israel. The faith and thinking of Abraham, influenced his generations.

We have a responsibility to ourselves to allow the Holy spirit to train our thoughts and even our imagination. What is this imagination?

Imagination is the cognitive ability to create, form and manipulate, mental image, sensations, and ideas in your mind without direct input from your physical senses. It is the driving force behind problem solving, empathy and artistic creativity.

Wow, how important is your imagination in your everyday life. It has to have room for the prosperity God has for you in this life.

There are key dimensions to your imagination:

Mental Imagery: the ability to visualise scenes, hear sounds or simulate feelings, that are not physically present. – God has given you the right to dream.

Creative power: the process of taking past experiences, memories and knowledge to invent something entirely new – you have been made into a whole new creation.

Resourcefulness: the practical application to navigate unexpected challenges or think “outside the box”. The possibilities are endless.

We have the right to dream and want more than what we are seeing or experiencing. It starts with our imagination. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

Thriver you have an imagination of endless possibilities as your faith brings things to pass in your life.
