The weapons of our warfare are not flesh and blood weapons, they are guns and arrows to fight a war but the weapon we have been given is the sword of the Spirit, the word of God. We need to use scripture to cut down the arguments of this life and the fears that try to undermine our thriving. It is a language given to us to get and maintain victory in our lives.

Perhaps you are asking, why are we always being told about the word of God. Well, this is what God has to say “I will lift up my word, above my name”. “heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will remain”. Just looking at that will tell us, how important the word of God is to God himself. It is our weapon given to us to thrive in this life. The angels understand the word and go to work on our behalf when we speak the word, it’s the currency of heaven. The confession of the word is not subject to the language we speak. The angels understand the word no matter what language we speak. The Holy Spirit works through the word in our hearts.

When the enemy comes in like a flood, the weapon that goes to work is the word in our hearts. The Holy Spirit raises up the standard of the word in our lives and guarantees us good success and victory. Can you afford not to give ear to the word and meditate on it so you can thrive in this life.
