The Prayer Life of a Thriver

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
Jude 1v20-21

A significant characteristic of a Thriver is his prayer life. A man or woman who comes in contact with a thriver will automatically notice the prayer life of a Thriver. If a person shares them. The Thriver has so much fruit from his/her prayer life that they want to share the fruit of prayer with any man or woman they come in contact with. The thriver has come from a place of prayerlessness, but as He/She walks with the Holy Spirit, the barreness and dryness of prayerlessness is watered with the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and soon the prayerlessness departs to be replaced with a life of prayer. The Thriver knows and understands what God can do and he/she has seen the goodness of God in the land of the living. He has seen the hand of God move mountains of sickness, disease and lack in his life. He/she is persuaded that nothing can separate them from the love of God. He knows and understands that this love of God is unconditional and is not determined or rewarded by his good or bad behaviour. God is just good so the Thriver flourishes in this knowing of who his God is. In a meeting the thriver is praying under his breath, in tongues. Whist driving, the thriver is listening to Gospel music or a faith message to build up his faith. Even in traffic or in a long queue, this becomes the breathing ground for the prayer life of the believer.

Family of God, I urge you, as you thrive or are in the process of the journey of thriving, choose to pick up your prayer life. Build yourself up in your most holy faith. When you pick up the benefit of a full prayer life, wonders, signs and miracles will be evident in your life.
