Thriving Through Obedience

The branch only bears fruit when it remains in the vine.

Obedience is the channel through which Christ’s life flows to you.

What is one area of delayed obedience that is blocking your fruitfulness?

Abiding in the vine, just means staying connected to the power of God. Praying and meditating on the word of God, keeps you connected to the vine. The voice of the Holy Spirit becomes more and more evident as your heart accepts and believes in the word of God. The will of God is revealed and your life is aligned to what God has called you to do. Jesus says, Abide in me and let my word abide in you, ask what you will and it will be done unto you. We are the branches, Jesus is the vine. Abiding in the vine brings fruit to your branches. The fruit of your life is then consumed by the people around you, those who need healing are healed, those who need deliverance are delivered, all because you took the time to thrive in the vine. You become obedient to the word of God that energises and empowers you for service. The branch can only bear fruit as it remains and abides in the vine. Abiding in the word causes your life to be channel in what God desires for our lives. We are not in a transaction with God, where we have to do something before he will do something. Our fellowship with the vine brings forth much fruit to our branches which grows the kingdom of God.

Please make a choice to fellowship with the father, the son and the holy Spirit and fruitfulness is unavoidable. It is a choice you make to abide in the vine. It is a choice that keeps you fruitful and allows you to thrive. Today take stock of your life and see where you are missing it and ask the Holy Spirit to realign your life to the ways and purposed of God so you become a fruit distributer to those in need of salvation.
