Your Link with God – Part 1

“For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for our sins in accordance with [what] the Scriptures [foretold].”
They were expected to have confidence in what God said and that is all He expects of you and of me. If Adam and Eve trusted in God’s integrity, they would live and prosper with Him forever. If they abused His trust and disbelieved His Word, the process of deterioration would begin, and they would die. Their lack of trust in the integrity of what God said was later called “Sin.”
The simple rule that God made was: The person who sins will die. Ezekiel 18:4, 20 NKJV “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die. 20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.” Later it was repeated in another way: The wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23 NKJV “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
But thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ Who has now bridged the gap and we are no longer aliens but friends of God. now, we are one with Him and He lives in us.
