Expect Your Miracle – Part 3

“When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?”
The first element is Faith. Faith in God connects Heaven with a need on earth. Someone must believe that God is willing and able to do it and to do it now. Galatians 3:5 (AMP) “ Does he who supplies you with His marvelous Holy Spirit and works powerfully and miraculously among you do so on the grounds of your doing what the law demands , or because of your believing…..” The answer is simple. God works miracles because we believe. For example, Mark 5:34 “And he said to her," Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, healed of your disease.” Mark 10:52 “And Jesus said to him, "All right, it's done. Your faith has healed you." And instantly the blind man could see and followed Jesus down the road!”
It is interesting to note that the Power of God is not mentioned in these instances, just the faith of the people. God’s Power and Willingness to work miracles never changes. The variable is people’s faith. Faith is the definitive factor.
