The Blessing of the Lord

“The blessing of the Lord-it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it].”
The term ‘The Fear of the Lord’ describes an attitude, an attitude concerning God and His ways. It is an attitude of respect and reverence that moves us towards holiness. It is also a mind-set that hates what He hates, and loves what He loves. God requires us to follow Him, Fear Him and Keep his commandments. To obey His voice, serve Him and cleave to him (Deut. 13:4; Joshua 4:24). Proverbs 8:13 says, “The fear of the lord [is] to hate evil; pride, and arrogance and the evil way, and the forward mouth, do hate.” To fear the Lord means we take His side against evil, adopt His attitude and refuse to do anything that displeases Him.
There are Benefits of Living in the Fear of the Lord:
No.1: The Fear of the Lord leads us to Abundant Life: Proverbs 19:23 “The fear of the Lord [tendeth] to life: and [he that hath it] shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”
No.2: The angel of the Lord encamps around those that Fear Him: Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the lord encamp[eth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.”
No.3: When we walk in the fear of the Lord, we witness the manifestations of his power: Haggai 2:7-9. God will reward us with Honor, Blessings and Empowering us.
