God Takes Care of His Children

“Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth”
The Psalmist urges people to remember God’s miracles and judgments. He assures them that God will keep His covenant with them forever. The Prophet Ezekiel paints a beautiful picture of God as a caring Shepherd: “You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are people, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign LORD” (Ezekiel 34:31).
God promises to take care of His people like a shepherd takes care of his sheep. Although the people of Israel, because of their sins, were scattered amongst the nations, God promises to gather them together again and to provide for the needs of each and every one. He says, “I myself will search for my sheep and look after them… I will tend them in a good pasture” (Ezek. 34:11, 14).
History records many times when God, by way of a miracle, rescued His children from danger, God has faithfully cared of us. He will be there for us in the future, even though it may sometimes seem bleak to us. If you stray from God, He will look for you like a shepherd looks for his stray sheep. He promises to take care of you and to protect you like a shepherd protects his flock.
