The Banquet Table Is Spread for You!

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children”
A story was told once a couple who had won a free trip on a cruise ship. They never appeared in the galley for steak and lobster. Instead they ate every meal in their room, rationing out cheese and crackers. Someone asked them why they had not gone to the sumptuous feast below. They were shocked to find that the meals had been included in the price of the cruise!
How many Christians are living on spiritual ‘cheese and crackers’ when they could be having ‘steak and ice cream’? For a person to have knowledge is to have a simple understanding of what belongs to him or her in Christ. John said, ‘It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth’ 2 John 1:4. God delights to see His children gain knowledge of their inheritance and then walk in that light.
The other side is when people reject knowledge. Some have been taught the truth and have rejected it in unbelief. ‘Help us, Lord, to know what we need and need what we know’ Come on down to the galley. The banquet table is spread for you.
