God’s Love Is Everlasting

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children”
One person’s love for another is often subject to change. Many marriages fail because the love between marriage partners wanes as time goes by. The high divorce rate indicates that human love is inconstant.
God’s love for His children is different.
It is unchanging and eternal. Although God knows how sinful we are, He does not want us to perish. That is why He sent a Savior. All who believe in Jesus can be children of God and share in His covenant of love: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
However, God expects His children to obey Him and to live as He requires, not in order to be saved, but out of gratitude because we have been saved. Isaiah 54:10 says, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Memorize this verse and recite it to yourself if you ever doubt God’s love for you.
