Power Principle for Giving No.5 (Part 2)

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”
Mark 10:23 (NIV)

Continuing the story, we find that Jesus looked around Him and told His disciples, “How hard is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God”. When His disciples heard Him, they were shocked. But Jesus said to them again. “Children, how hard it is for those who trust (place their confidence, their sense of safety) in riches to enter the Kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:24 TAB).

It was not the riches he possessed which held the young ruler back from following Jesus. It was his love and trust in them, and the security they provided. Regardless of how much you may or may not have, it is possible to have your trust in your wealth, instead of having your trust in God. It is important for you to search deeply in your heart to determine if you like this rich young ruler, have placed your confidence and trust in your wealth and worldly possessions.

In the coming worldwide financial crisis, those that trust in their wealth will be shaken. That is why it is important for you to now have your trust and confidence in God and His supernatural provision for your life.
