Power Principle for Giving No.15 (Part 2)

“I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Jesus taught unlimited, liberal giving! He told the rich young ruler “…Go sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have Treasure in Heaven…” (Mark 10:21 NIV) The emphasis was not upon the treasure that the rich young ruler would receive, but upon giving! When Jesus told His disciples, “sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourself bags which wax not old, a Treasure in the Heavens…” (Luke 12:33)
The emphasis was not upon the Treasure that the rich young ruler would receive, but upon Giving! Jesus never intended the major emphasis to be upon what we would Receive. When we give according to the Word of God, we know that we will receive. What we receive in return is the natural result of our giving.
One of the laws of the Spiritual Harvest is that whatever a man sows, he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7), and we receive in proportion to how we give (2Corinthians 9:6).Take the limits off your giving! It is my Prayer that God will release upon you a Spirit of Giving!
