Commitment Brings Angels

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?”
Daniel 3:15

Some of the most tremendous angelic experiences of the Bible occur in the book of Daniel. In the third chapter, the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, were ordered along with everyone else to fall down and worship a golden idol, which has been set up by King Nebuchadnezzar.

These young men honored God all their lives and they were not about to worship any graven image or pay respect to any god other than the one true God. Nebuchadnezzar, of course was furious and screamed to them. (See Daniel 3:15) You know the reply, “Our God is able to save us, and if He chooses to do that, it’s great; but if He doesn’t choose to save us, that is still great, because regardless, we are still going to serve Him”.

You know the end of the story, our God delivered them. Why? Because of their commitment to God. God was their fire extinguisher. God sent an ice cube angel to keep the boys cool in the midst of the fire! He will do it for you too.
