Jesus Is Your Righteousness

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.”
When you are Born Again, your whole nature has been recreated. There is in a moment of time something that has been imparted into your nature. It’s called the Righteousness of God. Let me tell you what the meaning of Righteousness is. The Greek word for Righteousness is *dikaousona or dikaouhoma, which means a Righteous Ordinance, a degree of acquittal*.
If you go to court for some reason or the other and the magistrate acquits you, when the police comes the next day and knocks on your door and says, “I’m taking you to court, what will you say to them? All you have to say is, “Oh no, I’m free, I’ve just been acquitted.” Now God in His Word tells you as a New Creation being that you have been acquitted. That is the Righteous ordinance. God’s Word tells you that you are free. You are free from sin, bondage, oppression, terror, disease, and sickness. Hallelujah! So Righteousness restores to man everything that he had lost in the fall, plus a new relationship as a Son. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you become a Son of God and being a Son of God comes with privileges. You are privileged. Hallelujah! You are as righteous as Jesus is.
