Pastors Appreciation Day, 24 November 2024.

Opens with corporate prayer in which the church writes down what has been troubling them and walks over it, the practice Dr RJ Sing kept: write it down, put it under your feet. Going through his paperwork that week, the line that kept coming up was "and this too shall come to pass". Poems and tributes follow from members of the house, then Pastor Zubeda Sing speaks about her son and asks the church to stop measuring him against his father. Closes with the appreciation seed, which Pastor Wesley announces will go to tarring the last of the church driveway rather than to himself.

  1. 1The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Come determined rather than religious, and do not accept anything outside the promise of God
  2. 2Your provision is in God, not in a salary. He is El Shaddai, the God who is more than enough
  3. 3Stop comparing him to his father. His father's mission is over and he has another mission to fulfil
  4. 4He is the one at the back, never the front, up with the contractors in the early hours when the aircon or the pipes go
  5. 5A father figure stepped into willingly rather than out of duty, through six months of a family's darkest moments
  6. 6Set yourself apart. It does not matter what your hair, your shoes or your clothes look like
  7. 7The appreciation seed goes back into the house, to finish the driveway
