Releasing Old Identity

“I To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory.”
Change is a constant in our lives. We would all love to be left in our comfort zone, where we are able to handle things and we know where everything is. We know what would happen etc. and we manage things that we are familiar with. Life does not work like that. Relationships change, people change and jobs change. So we have to keep ourselves ready and in expectation of things that cannot be controlled to be changed. We must be adaptable and flexible when change hits our lives. When we remain stubborn and refuse to change, we set ourselves up for pain and heartache. The people closest to us change over time. Even in a marriage, partners change. We all want more. The demands on our life make it necessary for us to evolve and change over time. We grow or must grow. The sad part is where the one partner changes and the other partner just likes life the way it was.
God never changes, He is the same, yesterday, today and forever, however he has set our lives in motion to experience various seasons in our lives and expects us to adapt to each season. How do we do this. We welcome the Holy Spirit in our lives and ask him to work on us to keep us pliable to change. The Holy Spirit is amazing. He will start making you uncomfortable and you will not know why, what he is doing, is getting you for a change that is about to take place.
Only God has the power to change us from ashes to a crown of glory, to thrive and accomplish in life.
We are a tree of righteousness, planted by the Lord, bringing forth our fruit in its season. Our leaves never wither no matter the season in our lives and we are changed from glory to glory.
We need to fully accept this glorious exchange today.
