Lazarus Come Forth

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.”
John 11v43-44

Lazarus was dead for 4 days already. He had been embalmed and buried so the chances of survival in the natural sense was zero. Yes, in the natural sense this was so. Jesus the giver of life was now on the scene. Death had no power over him. He was the giver of life and he could do it again. He was not afraid as he knew the power of God that would go into operation once he spoke the words of life, so he spoke and called Lazarus forth and Lazarus, though dead, yet lived, at the words of Jesus.

Beloved of God, what is the dead things in your life today. The giver of life, the God of the impossible is right here, right now. What is it that you need his power to work in, to raise to life.

Write whatever it is down so you have a clear record of it and begin to speak and call it forth. Is it broken dreams, a wayward son or daughter? Whatever it is, begin to speak. You have the grace and anointing on your life to bring things to life. Why? The giver of life, lives on the inside of you. Do not be afraid, do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you. Even though it seems impossible to you but all things are possible with our God.
