The Blessing of Wisdom

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest”
Exodus 28v3-4

Proverbs says, wisdom is the principal thing. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom. The New Testament says Jesus is our wisdom. When reading and hearing all of this we cannot deny the absolute need for wisdom. There is no need for any of us not lack in wisdom. The book of James says, if any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives liberally to all who ask. So, wisdom is never with held from us. God wants us to operate in his wisdom, in every area of our lives. This wisdom makes us successful and victorious in every area of our lives.

In the above scripture, the scripture is describing men who have been chosen and called by God to do work in the ministry. They needed the wisdom of God just to make Aaron the priests garment. Imagine that, the garments for the priest had to be excellent before the priest could stand before the Lord. If wisdom was needed just to make a garment and God took the time out to infuse wisdom in to the men to effectively make the garment. How much more you and I who are facing this great and wonderful God, should be filled with wisdom. In our everyday interaction with the world and our families, we need the wisdom of God to be effective in our communication and dealings with people. This wisdom of God brings peace and changes the atmosphere, bringing solutions where confusion reigns.

We have the wisdom of God.
