The Blessing of Grace

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 2 min read

“Blessed [forgiven, refreshed by God’s grace] are those who mourn [over their sins and repent], for they will be comforted [when the burden of sin is lifted].”
MATT 5V4

Grace is unmerited favour. We do not earn it, we do not deserve it. Favour is a gift of God in our lives. This favour causes our life to become easier. Favour is a product of grace on our lives. We have been saved by grace and not by works. This just means, nothing we could ever do would please God. Jesus died in our place and took away our sins. We are sin free, we should live free from sin consciousness. No matter what we do, will never cause God to let us go. No we are sealed to the day of redemption. Christ’s death and resurrection has saved us and washed us from sin, past, present and future.

The blessing of Abraham is on our lives. We are empowered to prosper. We are the object of God’s favour. We are graced with great grace. We have the blessing of five times more. The number 5 represents Grace, so we are in possessors of five times more of everything we will ever need in this life. Job got double of what he lost. Elisha got double the anointing of Elijah. We who live in Grace, saved by grace live in the blessing of five times more.

The Jewish people lived a life of the blessing as they were God’s people. They lived in the old covenant, we live in the new and living way so we live in the five times more. We live in the blessing of grace.
