The Power of Words – Part 2
Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read
“The mouth of the [uncompromisingly] righteous man is a well of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.”
The words we speak are indeed very important. They will point us and take us along a direction of life or destruction. Matthew 12: 36 – 37, “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Your tongue is very important. It is compared to a rudder of a ship, in other words a small rudder directs a huge ship in the direction the captain chooses. In the same way, your tongue directs your entire life in the way you choose to go – Ephesians 4:29.
From this day make up your mind to choose life and head in that direction by choosing your words carefully when you speak. Proverbs 16:24 NKJV “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.” You are indeed a Righteous man/woman. Let your mouth be a well of life. As you speak, let your words edify and build others around you. Let your communication minister grace unto the hearers. Be an encourager and exhorter from this day onwards.
