I Put Off All Malice

“But now put away and rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, bad feeling toward others, curses and slander, and foulmouthed abuse and shameful utterances from your lips!”
There is no room in your life for sin, especially when you are constantly renewing your mind to the things of God. As you spend time in His Word, you will find your actions aligning themselves with those statutes and having no desire for any kind of wickedness.
The above Scripture is so powerful. Let us look at the two verses that follow: “Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old (unregenerate) self with its evil practices, And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.” Colossians 3:9, 10 – Amplified. As Sons of God you have to put to death all those things that belong to your old, sense-ruled nature. Such as: sexual immorality, lust, wholly desires and all greed and covetousness, which are idolatry. Though you walked in these ways, you must now rid yourself of these things.
Do not let things such as rage, malice, slander and foul language go forth from your lips from now on. Speak the truth and put off your old nature and its practices. You have now put on your new nature which is being renewed in the knowledge of your Creator.
