I Will Not Continue to Grieve!

Pastor Zubeda Sing · 1 min read

“Now also we would not have you ignorant, brethren, about those who fall asleep [in death], that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond the grave].For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep [in death].”
1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14 - Amplified

Many of us had to deal with the sudden death of someone close. People who we have dearly loved and cherished. How do you deal with this? For many it is a time of grief and fear. However, if you are in Christ, you can be rest assured that you will see them again. The peace of God has filled your life. You fear nothing and each time you lay down, you lay down in peace.

Nothing, absolutely nothing can fill you with dread and no enemy can make you afraid. The Apostle Paul instructs us “not to continue to grieve”, If your loved ones have died in the Lord, especially in view of Christ’s promised second coming. Those who have died in the Lord are present with the Lord. The Bible instructs us to sorrow not.

The certainty of the believers hope is based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those that sleep in Jesus are certainly with Him. Paul tells us not to be ignorant about this matter. We are not to sorrow, as others who have no hope. All our loved ones who died in the Lord, shall certainly rise again. Now rest in this promise from today.
