Resist the Devil

This scripture tells us that we are to do the resisting. Therefore, as we submit to God and resist the wicked one, he must flee. That word “flee” actually means run in haste. I like that. We can only resist the devil when we know our rights and our authority according to the Word of God. This is the reason for this article, to encourage you to stop waiting and start resisting, so that the devil will be on the run and not us.

You have to start trusting the Lord in every situation by finding out what His Word says about that situation. Then apply it to your life. You take God’s Word as a sword, and wield it, by confession and strike him a deadly blow. As you submit to God and do His Word, He gives you continual Grace (Supernatural Ability). So, make it a point in your life to submit yourself to God. As you draw near to God, He draws near to you. Rid yourself of any offence that may still be clinging to your life. Then remain fixed and immovable in your Faith.

As you resist the devil and His attacks on your life, you will experience victory after victory. Put your Faith to work. Don’t be timid. Matthew 11:12, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”
