You Are an Heir

“Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
The above scripture states that you are a son, and if a son then an heir of God through Christ. A believer is no longer under the law. He is instead a son that is a full grown adult son who does not need the law’s elementary instruction and guidance. You are now filled with the Spirit of God and you are led by His Spirit.
Let us now look at another scripture in the book of Romans 8:16-17, *“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.” To be an heir means; A person who inherits something. To be an heir apparent means whose right to Inherit cannot be cancelled. So, you are no longer a slave but a son/daughter of the Most High God. He has made you an heir, entitling you to receive all that He has as your very own. You now have an intimate relationship with the Lord of the Universe. Not only do you know God but most importantly you are known by Him. He has also made you an heir, entitling you to receive all that He has as your very own. Therefore begin to think and function as an heir
