My Offering Is Recorded in Heaven (Part 2)

“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.”
In the Book of Numbers we saw how God kept absolute record of what each Leader offered and then caused it to be preserved in Scripture in minute detail. We need to take note of the degree of importance God places on our offerings. The New Testament teaches us that Jesus Himself watches how we give: *“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called [unto him] his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all [they] did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, [even] all her living.” Mark 12:41-44.*
Jesus thought it worthwhile to sit and watch what and how the people gave their offerings. He does the same today. We may not see Him, but He is watching how and what we give. So do remember dear Child of God that our offerings are recorded in Heaven. Giving our offerings is a very important part of our devotion and worship to God. Make up your mind to be a joyful and cheerful giver. This is when you see God’s Favour flow into your life.
