Don’t Live in Anger

Dr RJ Sing · 1 min read

“But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.”
Matthew 5:22

One of the many traps the enemy uses is misplaced or mishandled anger. Anger itself is not sin. We all feel angry at times. Anger is not evil, but to misplace it or mismanage it, leads to sin.

Anger is intended to alert us to a violation. When we feel angry it is our cue that something has happened to us that needs our attention. However, when we do not process it appropriately, it can be harmful. Anger triggers the flight or fight systems of the body, releasing adrenaline. Anger is part of the fear cycle. It is composed of fear, frustration and pain. But anger can become a fire, out of control. Some people wait until their anger is at unmanageable proportions, before they do anything about it.

Refuse to live in anger and frustration. We must learn to think before we explode. The Word of God teaches us: *“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.” Ephesians 4:26. In other words, settle it before sundown. When you were Born Again, you were stripped of your former nature and have put on the Nature of Christ. So, refuse to live your life in Anger
